THE ROLE:
* To facilitate and implement a person-centred approach for our
individuals appropriate to their wishes and goals.
* To promote and protect the rights of the people we support in a
manner that respects their dignity, right to make choices and their
privacy.
* To actively seek new interests and opportunities for the people we
support to develop meaningful roles in their Communities.
* To ensure the overall wellbeing of the people we support in all
areas of their lives including health and personal care.
* To assist in the teaching of life skills in cooking, budgeting,
cleaning & building confidence.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
* BA in Applied Social Care or recognised professional qualification
for Social Care (QQI/HETAC/DIT National Diploma in Childcare,
QQI/HETAC/DIT National Diploma in applied Social Studies,
* QQI/HETAC/DIT Diploma in Social Care, Diploma in applied studies
Social Care or National Diploma in applied Social Studies (
Disabilities) The Open Training College (QQI/HETAC) accredited.

qualifications: e.g. Nursing (RMHN), Teaching, Youth & Community
Studies, Psychology and Social Work.
* Experience of working in a care delivery capacity, preferably
within a disability service.

POST: SENIOR INSTRUCTOR

THE ROLE:
* The core activities for the post of Senior Instructor will be to
enable the people we support realise their goals and achieve their
identified priorities.
* The successful candidate will provide support and act as an
advocate for participation and inclusion in the Community on behalf of
the person we support.
* The successful candidate will furthermore operate within a
framework of a person centred approach and will actively engage with
and promote co-operation and partnership with other services, both
internally and externally and in particular with families.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
* Applicants should possess a relevant third level qualification
(Minimum ? Degree, Level 7).
* Experience of working in a care delivery capacity, preferably
within a disability service.

planning and setting goals with the person to assist them in meeting
their personal, social, recreational, academic, independent living,
community integration, training and supported employment needs.
* As a Support Worker you will enable the people we support realise
their goals and achieve their identified priorities. You will also
provide support and act as an advocate for participation and inclusion
in the community on behalf of the person we support.
* The Support Worker operates within the framework of a person
centred approach and to actively engage with and promote co-operation
and partnership with other services, both internally and externally
and in particular with families.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
* QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support. Equivalent qualifications to
Healthcare support will be considered, with a minimum of 2 years
relevant experience working with Adults with an Intellectual
Disability.
* Applications will also be considered from candidates who have
successfully completed at least 2 years of their Nursing or Social
Care studies.
* Experience of working in a care delivery capacity, preferably
within a disability service.
* ? A full drivers licence with access to a car insured for
business purposes is desirable. Essential requirement for outreach
roles.
POST: DRIVER
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time ( **Apply on the website** hours per

Location: Tralee Day Service
THE ROLE:
The successful candidate will be required to transport service users
to and from the Day Centre in Tralee. Additional duties will include
light maintenance, supervision of people we support and ensuring any
vehicle assigned is maintained and in a clean and tidy condition.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
* Experience of working in a care delivery capacity preferably within
the disability sector.
* A D1 drivers licence with access to a car insured for business
purposes and must be willing to drive Association vehicles is
desirable.
